One Organization, Three Functions

Supervisory TSOs, Coordination Center Officers, Security Support Assistants, and Transportation Security Inspectors are not covered by the collective bargaining agreement and do not have the representation available to bargaining unit employees. Against Giants was built to serve them.

What We Are Watching

Active subjects in the federal record, tracked as documents are issued.

Latest Research

Primary-source analysis, published as documents are issued. Every claim traces to a federal record.

What Representation Looks Like

An officer was referred to TSA's Office of Chief Medical Officer for a fitness for duty evaluation. We identified that the referral did not meet the required threshold under applicable TSA medical policy. Working with the officer's treating physician, we documented the policy violation and framed the medical record correctly. The fitness for duty finding was reversed. The officer returned to full duty and secured all applicable back pay.

The officer's job during that process was to show up and do their work. Ours was everything else.

Against Giants Labor Advocates handles disciplinary defense, medical certification matters, EEO complaints, MSPB proceedings, and workforce reduction questions. We are not attorneys and do not provide legal representation. For matters requiring licensed counsel, we provide referrals.

Before You Need Us

Understand the policy before the policy is applied to you.

We read directives, contracts, and programs before their consequences become obvious. The officers who know what a document says before it reaches them are in a different position than the ones reading it for the first time under a deadline.
